Congratulations to the researchers from the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC on their new publication in Clinical Infectious Diseases!
Their study entitled, “Rates of Resistance to Ceftazidime-Avibactam and Ceftolozane-Tazobactam Among Patients Treated for Multidrug-Resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa Bacteremia or Pneumonia,” provides critical insights into the effectiveness of these treatments against MDR P. aeruginosa infections. “Preliminary data shows resistance occurred more commonly among paitents treated with ceftazidime-avibactam compared with those treated with ceftolozane-tazobactam for MDR P. aeruginosa infections.”
Well done, team!
